Position Summary:  A 40 hour/week position to assist families in fostering their children’s development by conducting home visits to prenatal mothers and children 0-5 years of age.

Blue Valley Community Action is recruiting individuals who want to make a difference to serve as AmeriCorps VISTA members. VISTAs dedicate a year to carrying out service projects that improve our communities. When you serve as a VISTA member, you’ll improve your job skills through specialized training, earn a monetary award to use toward higher education or the payment of student loans, and gain resume-ready experience carrying out a challenging project with measured results.

BVCA is seeking VISTAs to carry out a project increasing low-income families’ access to developmental assets through after school and community programming in Southeast Nebraska. The project requires a team of individuals with a range of skills; to find out how your own skills and experience may contribute to a year of VISTA service, take a look at the opportunity listing linked below or enquire directly to BVCA’s FYI Center.
