AmeriCorps VISTA CAN-Gage/Jefferson Financial Literacy Resource Specialist
Come use your Super Power! Superhero members will assist low-income BVCA service area low-income residents in Gage and Jefferson Counties in rural southeast Nebraska to improve their financial literacy, and increase their assets. Superhero members will support and enhance efforts to identify financial literacy resource opportunities for all ages. Superhero members are entrusted with significant responsibilities and are expected to fully utilize their skills, initiative and creativity in support of the veteran community. Will require a vehicle and insurance. The Community Action Agencies of Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas has been proudly providing vital services to their state and community since 1964. Community Action Agencies (CAAs) are nonprofit private and public organizations established under the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964 to fight America’s War on Poverty. Community Action Agencies help people to help themselves in achieving self-sufficiency. CAAs are uniquely suited and qualified to address the needs of impoverished people. The CAA’s are dedicated to eliminating and rising people out of poverty. Spend a year in service helping those who have served our country!
