A home-based program that provides pregnant women and children ages 0-3
with family centered services and activities focused on parent
education, comprehensive health services and nutrition. Early Head Start
enhances children's physical, social, emotional and cognitive
development; assists parents in fulfilling their parental roles; and
helps parents move toward self-sufficiency. Early Head Start provides a
comprehensive link to community resources; a family library; parent
education; child screenings; in home consultations; transportation; and
social activities for the whole family. To be participate in the Early
Head Start Program, you must be income eligible, be expecting or have a
child under the age of three.
