U.S. Government Support – $3,331,008
In FY 2002, Blue Valley Partnership received over $3 million dollars directly from the federal government. In addition to these direct grants, a large percentage of funds received from state governments begin as federal dollars. These monies are "passed through" or "block granted" to state governments or private entities, who in turn subcontract the dollars to community-based organizations for actual program operations.

Nebraska State Government Support — $2,558,987
In addition to cash grants and contracts, this figure includes the in-kind value of commodities ($592,792) that are distributed to families and individuals. A large portion of these grants begin as federal awards to the state.

Kansas State Government Support — $9,507
Because BVCA Partnership offers limited services to Jewell and Smith Counties, we do not receive the same level of support that we do in Nebraska. Although considered state funding, these grants can begin as federal awards to the state.

Local Government Support — $109,823
These funds come from the counties, cities and towns we serve. Requests are prorated, based on the total population of the area a particular program serves. Separate requests are made for each program, although most programs do not seek local government support.

Private Support — $3,451,158
Our private support comes from a variety of sources. One important resource is the value of goods and services donated by individuals living in the communities we serve. These donations include volunteer time, food for the pantries we operate, clothing and household items for families we see, and cash from local fundraising efforts. We also receive private support from local United Ways and private foundations. Finally, fees, rental income and investment return from private funds add to our non-governmental support. Please see You Can Help to learn how you can provide cash or in-kind support to help Blue Valley Community Action Partnership fulfill our mission.

Other Revenue — $3,525,505
Some programs blend multiple public and private income sources so extensively that it seems inappropriate to break these sources apart when discussing that program. This is the case with the transit programs we operate and the majority of the housing partnerships in which we participate. Therefore, we simply refer to these blended programs as Other Revenue.

Real Estate Limited Partnerships
In fiscal year 2002, Blue Valley Community Action Partnership was the general partner in eight for-profit limited partnerships. These housing partnerships had $9,702,227 in total assets.
