A voluntary prevention system of support and services for children, young people, and families. This includes gap funding for essential one time services or resources.
Families and individuals needing support with resources or services which will help them thrive and avoid becoming involved in formal government systems. This includes single and two parent families with children 18 years of age and younger who are residing with them; pregnant or parenting youth/young adults; or young adults without children 19 to 24 years of age.
Our team understands the needs of our community, we have services you might need, and we partner with organizations who can offer additional help.

The Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Program (BFPC) provides education and support for pregnant and postpartum women to ensure a successful breast-feeding experience. The BFPC program is based on the FNS WIC Breastfeeding Model for Peer Counseling (formerly called Loving Support© Model for Peer Counseling).
All scholarships will be in the amount of $1,000 and can be used for tuition, books and fees associated with enrollment. Three scholarships will be awarded.
This is a free home-based program in which family advocates provide a weekly home visit and offer comprehensive services.
We distribute donated perishable and non-perishable food, household items, and paper products, distributed to families and individuals in emergency situations. Several centers receive donations of USDA food from the Lincoln Food Bank.
Head Start provides free comprehensive early childhood education services in a classroom setting while engaging families.
Housing Counseling assists individuals and families in becoming mortgage ready through pre-purchase homebuyer education and one-on-one case management.
Medicaid Vaccines for Children (VFC) and Private Vaccines are offered in Fillmore, Jefferson, Saline and Seward Counties. All clients must make an appointment and have their insurance eligibility confirmed prior to receiving any vaccines. Walk-ins are NOT accepted at this time. Please bring your insurance card to each visit.
We sell clothing, household, and other miscellaneous items donated by the general public at thrift stores for the general public.
WIC is the nation’s most successful public health nutrition program. We provide healthy food, nutrition education, and community support to income-eligible pregnant women, mothers of infants, and children up to 5 years old.
