About the Program

This is a framework of programs and services helping older, unconnected youth voluntarily transition successfully into adulthood. It includes gap funding for essential services or resources. 

We Serve

Older youth interested in connecting with services and programs to help them move forward, through, or around existing obstacles in their pathway to adulthood. Typically:

  • Ages 14 to 25
  • Currently or formerly in foster care
  • Homeless or near homeless without family support
  • Past involvement with Juvenile Justice and without family support
  • Probation cases – only if the youth meets the listed criteria and is within 6 months of exiting probation

Related Programs

All scholarships will be in the amount of $1,000 and can be used for tuition, books and fees associated with enrollment. Three scholarships will be awarded.

We move individuals and families from homelessness toward stable housing opportunities using the Housing First Model. Several separate homeless programs may be available, depending on funding and consumer demographics.

Medicaid Vaccines for Children (VFC) and Private Vaccines are offered in Fillmore, Jefferson, Saline and Seward Counties. All clients must make an appointment and have their insurance eligibility confirmed prior to receiving any vaccines. Walk-ins are NOT accepted at this time. Please bring your insurance card to each visit.

A voluntary service for families and individuals needing support with resources or services which will help them thrive and avoid becoming involved in formal government systems. This includes single and two parent families with children 18 years of age and younger who are residing with them; pregnant or parenting youth/young adults; or young adults without children 19 to 24 years of age. 

SOAR provides assistance in navigating through the process of applying for Supplemental Security Income and/or Social Security Disability Insurance.
