An Equal Opportunity Program
The Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Program (BFPC) provides education and support for pregnant and postpartum women to ensure a successful breast-feeding experience. The BFPC program is based on the FNS WIC Breastfeeding Model for Peer Counseling (formerly called Loving Support© Model for Peer Counseling).
Telehealth services are for individuals who are not comfortable with technology or for those that simply do not have access to a computer, smart phone or internet but still need to connect to our services. While BVCA Partnership is focusing these services for elderly, homeless, and/or low-income individuals, our Telehealth services are available to anyone who has a need.
Volunteers over the age of 55 are placed in classrooms and work one-on-one with children who have special needs. Volunteers receive stipends and can volunteer up to 40 hours per week.

May is Community Action Month and on May 29, 2025, we’re stuffing the bus for BVCA! Bring donations to your local Blue Valley Community Action Partnership (BVCA) Family and Community Services Center in Beatrice, Crete, David City, Fairbury, Geneva, Hebron, Osceola, Seward and York! Here’s what we need (and how it benefits the community):
STUFF for cleaning: Windex, oven cleaner, big bottles of Clorox Clean Up, bathroom cleaners, paper towels, shop towels and rags, Clorox wipes. Cleaning supplies support Head Start Centers, our Housing Department’s maintenance crew, our FCS Centers, and even clients who are in need of them.
STUFF for infants and kids: Diapers/pull-ups, wipes, new &/or clean children’s clothing including socks, underwear, pants, shirts, coats and boots. These items can be kept at Head Start preschools as emergency backups as well as distributed at WIC clinics and FCS Centers to families in need.
STUFF for parents: New car seats, infant spoons and plates, bibs, nursing bras and covers, Boppy pillows, sleep sacks. These donated items can also be distributed at WIC clinics and FCS Centers.
STUFF in general: Toothpaste, deodorant, bar soap and body wash, shampoo, feminine hygiene products, adult depends, and other personal hygiene products. These items are ALWAYS needed at our FCS centers to help individuals and families in need. They can also find their way into clients’ hands through specific programs including Early Head Start and Commodity Supplemental Food Program, a nutrition program for low-income seniors.
If you would like to contribute something specific to early childhood education, our Head Start program has an Amazon wishlist! Click Here
Every year BVCA spends a considerable amount to keep these items in stock for the programs that need them. As you can see, that’s a wide variety across the full spectrum of assistance BVCA provides. Donated items means BVCA can direct program funding to other uses, and many of these items can be considered “in-kind” donations that help us with match requirements for grants, including Head Start!
Blue Valley Community Action Partnership’s is pleased to share our 2024 Impact Report, which highlights successes of both our organization and those enrolled in our programs. Click on the link to view the report.
