About the Program

We offer emergency repair or replacement for heating and A/C units for homeowners who qualify as low-income due to potentially hazardous conditions. 

We Serve

A wide range of owner-occupied households from single adults to families, where housing conditions are life threatening due to no heat and/or air conditioning may qualify.  

  • Owner occupied homes where conditions are life threatening
  • Households with incomes under 200% of the poverty level
  • Households that have not received LIHEAP-HCRRA in the previous 5 years

Related Programs

Individuals and families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. We offer rapid rehousing for homeless families and homeless prevention for those at risk.

We distribute donated perishable and non-perishable food, household items, and paper products, distributed to families and individuals in emergency situations. Several centers receive donations of USDA food from the Lincoln Food Bank.

WIC is the nation’s most successful public health nutrition program. We provide healthy food, nutrition education, and community support to income-eligible pregnant women, mothers of infants, and children up to 5 years old.

Low-income families are able to reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient through our weatherization services.

The Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program provides financial assistance to repair substandard single family homes. The funds are given as conditional grants, deferred loans, or low-interest loans.
