When families in Gage County find themselves in crisis, they reach out to Blue Valley Community Action Partnership. Illness, job loss, vehicle repair, any number of issues can bring someone to the point of hunger and homelessness. With the support of Gage County, BVCA is able to help these individuals and families be food secure, remain in stable housing, move forward and work toward a better future. In 2024, 352 people visited BVCA’s food bank in Beatrice, and an additional 109 seniors received monthly baskets from the Commodity Supplemental Food Program. Through BVCA’s emergency housing, 68 people including children found emergency shelter and were transitioned to stable housing. Over 600 individuals benefitted from BVCA’s Family and Community Services Center, ranging from rent and utility help to paying for needed prescriptions. This would not be possible without the financial support of Gage County communities. Support us in our work to help Gage County residents be self-sufficient and thrive.
